ACCELERATED Motion, in Mechanicks, is a Motion which receives continual Increments or Accessions of Velocity. See MOTION.

If the Accessions of Velocity be equal in equal Times;the Motion is said to be uniformly accelerated. See ACCELERATION.

The Motion of falling Bodies is an accelerated Motion:And supposing the Medium they fall through, i.e. the Air, void of Resistance; the same Motion may be also considered as uniformly accelerated. See DESCENT, etc.

For the Laws of Accelerated Motion, see Motion.
