ARRAYERS, Arraiatores,is used in some ancient Statutes, for such Officers as had care of the Soldiers' Armour, and saw them duly accoutred in their kinds. See ARMOUR, ACCOUTREMENTS, etc. Such were the Commissioners of Array, appointed by King Charles I. in the Year 1642.
