ANTITHETARIUS, a Term occurring in the Title of a Chapter in the Laws of Canons, viz. Capit. 47. but not in the Chapter itself. The meaning of the Word is where a Man endeavours to discharge himself of the Fact of which he is accused, by recriminating, i.e., by charging the Accuser with the same Fact. See RECRIMINATION.
